    De acuerdo con Oyarzun, en el concepto benjaminiano de historia, “no se trata de una guerra por la representación de la historia, sino de una guerra cuya arena es la historia misma. Sólo en la medida en que este es su campo, interesa en la guerra también la lucha por su (verdadera) representación”. Aunque en principio este pasaje comenta la primera de las “tesis” de «Sobre el concepto de historia» de Benjamin, la observación tiene consecuencias decisivas para la comprensión global del concepto. A partir de esta observación, en el presente artículo nos proponemos analizar y explicitar la ligazón que existe al interior del pensamiento benjaminiano entre las nociones de ‘verdad’ y ‘(re)presentación’ (Darstellung) en orden a mostrar la relevancia de esta relación para el concepto de ‘historia’ elaborado a fines de los años ‘30

    According to Pablo Oyarzun, Benjamin’s concept of history “is not about a war over the representation of history, but a war over history itself. Only in so far as this is its field, there can also be a struggle for its (true) representation”. While Oyarzun’s observation refers to the first “thesis” of Benjamin’s «On the Concept of history», in this article I argue that it can be productively used to shed light onto a broader understanding of the Benjamin’s concept of history. To that end, I elaborate on Oyarzun’s comment in order to analyze and to render explicit the relationship between 'Truth' and '(Re)presentation' (Darstellung) in Benjamin’s thought. In doing so, I highlight the relevance of this relationship for the concept of 'History' that Benjamin elaborated in the late ‘30s
