El rebozo es una práctica de partería tradicional de origen azteca, que consiste en usar un fular para realizar diferentes técnicas con la finalidad de movilizar la pelvis y relajar la musculatura para favorecer la colocación del feto y mejorar diversos aspectos en embarazo, parto y postparto. Cada vez se está usando más en las Maternidades y se objetivan su eficacia y beneficios. Revisaremos el estado actual del tema y la evidencia científica que existe para respaldar su uso.
The shawl is a traditional midwifery practice of Aztec origin, which consists of using a scarf to perform different techniques in order to mobilize the pelvis and relax the muscles to favor the positioning of the fetus and improve various aspects in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. It is being used more and more in Maternity wards and its efficacy and benefits are being objectified. We will review the current state of the subject and the scientific evidence that exists to support its use.
