Resumen de Ratio formalis: recuperando una noción clásica para la metafísica contemporánea

«Ratio formalis»me parece una noción clásica provechosa para la metafísica con-temporánea que actualmente debate si el fundamento de la realidad es formaliter la «substancia» o la «estructura». Por ello, es menester explicitar la noción. Prime-ro, resumiré las posiciones del debate; luego, presentaré el sentido general de nuestra noción; mostraré sus precisiones según tres autores (Tomás de Aquino, Cayetano y Juan de Santo Tomás); da-das las sutilezas, enseguida resumiré lo obtenido; casi para terminar, usaré por ejemplo la matemática para hacer ver el uso de la noción recuperada; concluiré mostrando cómo nuestra noción es per-tinente para el debate aludido.

«Ratio formalis» seems to be a useful classical notion for contemporary meta-physics that currently debates whether the foundation of reality is formaliter the «substance» or the «structure». For this reason, it is necessary to make the no-tion explicit. First, I will summarize the positions of the debate; then, I will present the general sense of our notion; I will show its precisions according to three authors (Thomas Aquinas, Cajetan and John of Saint Thomas); once I pres-ent their subtleties, I will continue by summarizing what has been obtained; almost to finish, I will use mathematics as an example to show the use of the re-gained notion; I will conclude by show-ing how our notion is pertinent for the mentioned debate.
