    In his book Brecht and method, theAmerican marxist critic Fredric Jamesonargues that the idea of activity and praxis,as conceived by Bertolt Brecht, is thesource of the utility and pertinence ofBertolt Brecht’s work in our days. Takingthis argument as a starting point, thisarticle aims at introducing some aspectsfor the rediscusssion of the utility of thework and critical thought of the Brazilianplaywright Oduvaldo Vianna Filho.
