    El inicio de la vacunación a nivel mundial supuso un reto más para todo el sistema de salud y en especial para las enfermeras de atención primaria (AP) dentro de la pande - mia del Covid-19. Con el comienzo de la inmunización poblacional, se pasó de es - tablecer únicamente medidas protectoras a poder poner en marcha la única medida posible para intentar evitar o disminuir el contagio.

    Las enfermeras de AP durante estos ocho meses desde el inicio de la campaña de vacunación, han planificado, gestionado e implementado la estrategia de vacuna- ción, finalizando por la administración de las dosis de la vacuna COVID-19 en los puntos de vacunación. Son los únicos profesionales con competencias para llevar a cabo todo el proceso que requiere la inmunización, in- cluyendo la educación, información, admi - nistración de la dosis de la vacuna y registro en su historia clínica así como vigilancia y notificación de los efectos adversos de sa- lud relacionados con la vacunación.

    El trabajo en equipo de todos los profe- sionales que participan en la estrategia de inmunización poblacional junto con la coor- dinación de Consejería de Salud, Servicio de Salud del Principado de Asturias (SESPA) y áreas sanitarias del Principado de Astu - rias, ha llevado a Asturias, a ser la prime - ra Comunidad Autónoma en alcanzar con eficiencia y eficacia el 70% de la población inmunizada

    The start of vaccination worldwide was another challenge for the entire health system and especially for primary care (PC) nurses within the Covid-19 pandemic. With the beginning of population immunization, it went from establishing only protective measures to being able to implement the only possible measure to try to avoid or reduce contagion.

    During these eight months since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, the PC nurses have planned, managed and implemented the vaccination strategy, ending with the admi - nistration of the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the vaccination points. They are the only professionals with professional competencies to carry out the entire process that requires immunization, education, information, administration of the dose of the vaccine, ending with the registration in their clinical history and the care and registration of related adverse health effects. with vaccination.

    The teamwork of all the professionals who participate in the population immunization stra- tegy together with the coordination of the Ministry of Health, SESPA and the health areas of the Principality of Asturias, has led Asturias to be the first Autonomous Community to achieve efficiently and efficacy 70% of the immunized population
