    Se presenta una sinopsis de la vegetación de la provincia de Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha,España central). Tras un resumen de las características geográficas, fisiográficas, climáticas ylitológicas de la provincia, se describen sus principales unidades biogeográficas, incluyendo lahistoria de usos del territorio. Se relacionan las comunidades vegetales que conforman la vegetaciónde los dos sectores principales reconocidos, agrupadas por tipos de hábitats, con comentariossobre su problemática e interés de conservación.

    The main traits and types of the vegetation of the province of Toledo (Castile-La Mancha,central Spain) are summarized. After a geographical, physiographical, climatic and lithologiccharacterization of the territory, its main phytogeographical units are described, including the historyof land uses. The plant communities shaping the vegetation of the two main sectors recognizedin the province are listed and briefly presented according to habitat types (forests, shrublands,grasslands, wetlands, rocky habitats, agricultural and ruderal habitats), including commentsabout their conservation problems and priorities.
