  • Resumen
    • Detonation of an anti-tank (AT) mine or improvised explosive device (IED) yields a shock wave, which can result in a severe damage to a vehicle and its personnel. Blast mitigation techniques play important role in dissipating and reflecting incoming blast waves as well as decreasing damage potential. This study set out to investigate the blast mitigation performance of V-shaped hull design of a military vehicle, both from numerical and experimental viewpoint. LS-DYNA was used in numerical studies. Results show that numerical simulation is in accord with blast experiment and maximum deviation percentage between measured and calculated displacements is 15%.
