Resumen de La formación del docente de matemática en Venezuela

  La formación docente interesa a la academia y a la sociedad por las implicaciones que ésta tiene sobre la práctica pedagógica y, consecuentemente, sobre los aprendizajes de los estudiantes. En este trabajo abordamos elementos de la formación inicial y continua del docente venezolano de matemáticas: las estructuras de formación inicial y su contenido, destacando la relación entre los componentes de formación pedagógica y matemática; la formación continua y el papel de la investigación en la formación y el desarrollo profesional del docente tanto de Educación Primaria como de Educación Media. Partiendo desde su contextualización histórica, se recorre la realidad actual y se destacan las acciones recientes, para así llegar a enunciar los principales retos para los futuros mediato e inmediato en materia de formación del docente de Matemáticas.

  Teacher training interested both the Academy and the society because its implications on teaching practice and, consequently, on the learning experiences of students. In this work we are dealing with elements of initial and continuous training of Venezuelan mathematics teachers: the structures of initial formation and its contents, highlighting the relationship between the components of mathematical and pedagogical training; life-long learning and the role of research in the training and professional development of teachers, both elementary and secondary education teachers. Starting from its historical context, through the current reality and highlighting recent actions, getting to enunciate the key challenges for mediate and immediate future training of mathematics teachers.
