Este mundo es insensato, y el humano no puede vivir sin poner su vida en relato. Es una de las lecciones de la Revolución Francesa. La elección del Ser supremo no la protegió de la religión capitalista. Pero planteó la pregunta sobre una trascendencia laica que indizaría el agujero en el saber. Y la pregunta persiste: ¿sabremos estar a la altura? Se impone, más que nunca, poner al psicoanálisis a la cabeza de la política: para dar la posibilidad al sujeto de interpretar el genio de su división, el antídoto en el clivaje. Atrevámonos a afirmarlo: sin el Discurso Analítico, no hay lazo social. ¿Qué lugar damos nosotros, los que practicamos el análisis, a la Ciudad en el psicoanálisis?

This world is senseless, and humans cannot live without putting their lives into a story. This is one of the lessons of the French Revolution. The choice of the supreme Being did not protect it from capitalist religion, but it raised the question of a secular transcendence which, in our terms, would index the hole in knowledge. And the question persists: Will we know up to the task? It is necessary, more than ever, to put psychoanalysis at the head of politics: to give the subject the possibility of interpreting the genius of its division, the antidote in the cleavage. Let us dare to affirm it: without analytic discourse, there is no social bond. What place do we who practice analysis give to the city in psychoanalysis?
