En los siglos XIX y XX, y en las primeras décadas del siglo XXI, se ha producido un renacer católico de la filosofía teórica y de la filosofía práctica. Por medio de este artículo, intentamos resaltar la importancia de tal acontecimiento en la situación de la filosofía en nuestro mundo actual. Asistimos a una defensa de la capacidad de la razón humana de responder con verdad a los problemas últimos que la experiencia de la realidad del mundo y del hombre nos plantea.

During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and in the first decades of the twenty-first, a Catholic revival of theoretical and practical philosophy has taken place. In this article we attempt to emphasize the relevance of this event to the status of philosophy in our current world. We are witness to a defense of the ability of human reason to answer with truth to the ultimate problems that the experience of the world and man’s reality elicit.
