Resumen de Spanish type specimens in fossil invertebrate collection of Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales of Madrid, Spain

• The main objective of the present paper is to communicate, to the paleontological community the type material of fossil invertebrates at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales. Most of this type material belongs to historic collections that were recovered after the retrieval and study of 70% of the fossil invertebrates material, and includes type specimens from W.Kilian, ].Vilanova y Piera, J. Lambert and V. van Straelen amongst other well-known naturalists.
