  En este trabajo pretendemos destacar algunas de las consideraciones y dilemas éticos que rodean el trabajo con restos humanos y que pueden enfrentar los profesionales en el campo de la bioarqueología (incluyendo la paleopatología). Con esto en mente, se consideran aspectos como la excavación, estudio, retención, exhibición y publicación de restos humanos (Buikstra y Gordon, 1981, Fforde, 2004, Larsen y Walker 2005, Sayer, 2010, Fossheim, 2012, Giesen, 2013, Taylor, 2014, Lambert, 2016 Lohman y Goodnow,2016). El tema del re-enterramiento y la repatriación de restos humanos (por ejemplo, véase Ubelaker y Guttenplan Grant, 1989) también está incluido en estas discusiones y tratado en este documento.

  In this paper we aim to highlight some of the ethical considerations and ethical dilemmas surrounding human remains that professionals in the field of bioarchaeology (including palaeopathology) may face. With this in mind, aspects such as the excavation, study, retention, display and publication of human remains are considered (Buikstra and Gordon, 1981; Fforde, 2004; Larsen and Walker, 2005; Sayer, 2010;Fossheim, 2012; Giesen, 2013; Taylor, 2014; Lambert, 2016; Lohman and Goodnow, 2016). The issue of reburial and repatriation of human remains (e.g. see Ubelaker and Guttenplan Grant, 1989) is also embedded in these discussions and covered in this paper.
