    En el solar del Teatro Andalucía de la ciudad de Cádiz se pusieron al descubierto doce estructuras funerarias del siglo II a.C, todas ellas en fosa simple. Sin embargo, las estructuras funerarias 7 y 8, mostraron sendas peculiaridades: pequeños guijarros negros cubriendo todo el cadáver y una banda de galbos dispuesta a todo lo largo de su lado derecho (EF-7), así como piedras medianas y grandes sobre el difunto (EF-8). El estudio paleopatológico reveló que el individuo EF-7 padeció un osteosarcoma costal de grandes dimensiones en la 7ª costilla derecha y el individuo EF-8 un granuloma eosinófilounifocalendocraneal. Dada la consideración mágica de la enfermedad en la época, es muy probable que exista una relación entre las singularidades observadas en el ritual funerario de ambas tumbas y las patologías padecidas por los difuntos, convirtiéndoles, por su modus moriendi en “muertos inquietos”.

    On the site of the Andalusian Theater of the city of Cádiz were unveiled twelve funeral structures of the II century BC, all them in simple grave. However, the funerary structures 7 and 8, showed several peculiarities: small black pebbles covering the whole corpse and a band of pottery´s fragments arranged all along its right side (FS-7) and medium and large stones on the deceased (FS-8). Paleopathological study revealed that the individual FS-7 suffered an Osteosarcoma of large dimensions in the 7th right rib and the FS-8 individual an intracranial Unifocal Eosinophilic Granuloma. Given the magical consideration of disease at that time it is very likely that there is a relationship between the singularities observed in the funeral ritual of both tombs and the pathologies suffered by the deceased, which had placed very noticeable signs and symptoms, turning them because of his modus moriendi in to restless dead.
