Resumen de Un acercamiento cualitativo a las expectativas de las docentes de educación infantil en formación inicial

El objetivo del estudio fue conocer las inquietudes y expectativas de las docentes en formación inicial sobre su futura incorporación al mundo educativo. Mediante una aproximación cualitativa, se realizaron dos grupos focales a doce estudiantes de tercer y cuarto curso del grado de Magisterio en Educación Infantil de una universidad pública española. Tras un análisis de contenido y posterior categorización de los datos, los resultados mostraron una gran preocupación de las estudiantes por la dificultad de acceso al mercado laboral educativo, un profundo sentimiento de falta de preparación práctica para enfrentarse al día a día en las aulas, incertidumbre por el contexto socioeconómico que se encontrarán al terminar sus estudios universitarios y dudas acerca de la conveniencia de ampliar su formación académica antes de transitar hacia la búsqueda activa de empleo en el sector educativo. Se hace necesario conocer estas percepciones de las estudiantes universitarias para enfocar adecuada y eficientemente su proceso formativo.

The aim of the study was to find out the concerns and expectations of the teachers in initial training about their future incorporation into the world of education. By means of a qualitative approach, two focus groups were carried out with twelve students in the third and fourth year of the Degree in Pre-Primary Education at a Spanish public university. After a content analysis and subsequent categorization of the data, the results showed a great concern of the students about the difficulty of access to the educational labor market, a deep feeling of lack of practical preparation to face the daily life in the classrooms, uncertainty about the socio-economic context they will find at the end of their university studies and doubts about the convenience of extending their academic training before moving towards the active search for employment in the educational sector. It is necessary to know these perceptions of university students in order to focus adequately and efficiently on their training process.
