    La educación como proceso y la escuela como institución, tienen una función vital en el desarrollo de la educación ambiental dirigida hacia el desarrollo sostenible; Teniendo en cuenta el diagnóstico de la situación existente con respecto al tratamiento y materialización de la misma, se fundamenta, diseña y valida un Modelo Didáctico para desarrollar la dimensión ambiental en el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje de las asignaturas de Física y Matemática en el preuniversitario, fundamentando el carácter interdisciplinario de la educación ambiental y la integración de los contenidos desde la comprensión integral de los hechos y fenómenos ambientales, dados en situaciones de enseñanza aprendizaje con orientación medioambiental.

    The education as a process and the school as an institution have a vital function in the educational environmental development, taken into account directed toward sustainable development; as from the diagnosis of the existent situation regarding to the treatment and materialization of it. Based on the previous information a Didactic Model is designed, foundated and validated in order to develop the environmental dimension in the learning process of Physics and Mathematics in pre-university school. It develops the interdisciplinary process of the environmental education and the integration of the contents taking into account and integral understanding of the facts and environmental phenomena
