    A través del siguiente artículo se analizan las ventajas y desventajas que tiene la utilización de Internet por los grupos sociales vulnerables, así como sugerir alternativas para sortear las barreras generadas por el medio tecnológico. Se parte de considerarlas ventajas de la Internet, principalmente como un medio de comunicación que permite la interacción activa entre los usuarios, sobrepasando los límites establecidos por el paradigma tradicional de transmisión de información. A partir de esto se definen los grupos vulnerables y las brechas digitales que estos enfrentan. Al mismo tiempo quedan propuestas alternativas que pueden superar dichas brechas Durante la investigación se han consultado materiales bibliográficos de reconocida actualidad, los que unidos a los análisis realizados por los autores contribuyeron a contrastar los criterios sobre la importancia, los retos y perspectivas que hoy genera la utilización de Internet.

    Through the following article the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed that the use of Internet by the vulnerable social groups has, as well as to suggest alternatives to draw for the barriers generated by technological means. The paper part to consider the advantages of the Internet, mainly like mass media that allow the active interaction between the users, exceeding the limits established by the traditional paradigm of information transmission. From this the vulnerable groups and the digital breaches define themselves that these face. At the same time alternative proposals have left that can surpass these breaches. During the investigation have been consulted material bibliographical of recognized the present time, those that together with the analyses made by the authors contributed to resist the criteria on the importance, the challenges and perspective that today the use of the Internet generates.
