Resumen de Knowledge, skills, history – a foundation for a climatepositive future

Jane Entwistle

  • If anyone had told me 50 years ago that I would be taking up this Presidential role, I would probably have said, ‘Okay, great!’ – at that age youngsters take most things in their stride. If anyone had told me 25 years ago, I would have said, ‘No way, I just pay my subscription – my qualifi cation is all that I want from the Institution’. Ten years ago, I would have said, ‘No, it’s not me or for me’. Yet, here I am; extremely honoured to take on this role of representing our Institution and its members over the coming year.

    Those of you who already know me will be aware that my key area of work has, for many years, been historic buildings;

    I will be coming back to that later in this address. You may also already know that a continuous theme of my involvement with the Institution has been that of considering the eff ect that any changes proposed at the centre of our organisation will have out in the regions.
