Resumen de La regulación de la crisis sanitaria en el ámbito financiero

La gestión de la crisis sanitaria desatada por la COVID-19 ha tenido un impacto muy relevante en la regulación del sistema financiero y de la economía en su conjunto. Se pueden diferenciar tres fases que son objeto de revisión en este artículo. La primera puso en marcha medidas para estabilizar el sistema financiero y mantener la provisión de crédito a la economía. En la segunda, el foco regulador se orientó a sostener la economía real durante la fase de confinamiento, a fin de prevenir despidos masivos. Finalmente, la tercera fase –en la que estamos inmersos– tiene como objetivo la recuperación económica.

The management of the health crisis provoked by the Covid-19 has had a very relevant impact on the regulation of the financial system and the economy as a whole. We can differentiate three phases, which are reviewed in this article. The first one put in place measures for the stabilization of the financial system, in order to maintain the provision of credit the economy. During the second one, the regulatory goal was to sustain the real economy during the lockdown period, with the aim of reducing mass layoffs.
Finally, in the third phase –in which we currently stand– the objective is economic recovery
