Turibriga. La ciudad perdida de Ataecina.

    El propósito del presente artículo es el de ofrecer una perspectiva sobre las diferentes posturas mantenidas en torno a la identificación de Turibriga. Tal topónimo se evidencia exclusivamente a través de la epigrafía, concentrándose las alusiones al mismo, de muy especial modo, en el entorno de la iglesia altomedieval de Santa Lucía del Trampal (Alcuéscar, Cáceres). A modo de hipótesis de trabajo y tras recopilar y ordenar la información existente, se propone situar el solar de tal enclave en las inmediaciones de la citada iglesia

    The purpose of this article is to give an overview of the different positions held around the identification of Turibriga. Such a toponym is evidenced exclusively through epigraphy, and allussions to it are especially concentrated in the surroundings of the high medieval church of Santa Lucía del Trampal (Alcuéscar, Cáceres). As a working hypothesis and after compiling and ordering the existing information, we propose that the location of this site lies in the vicinity of the aforementioned church.
