The article presents the late fourteenth-century Anglo-Latin satire “Vox in Rama” in the annotated edition and verse translation of A.G. Rigg (1937-2019), with introductory remarks setting the poem in context of the small corpus of contemporary Anglo-Latin rhythmic-accentual poems having the “O and I” refrain and of other contemporary anti-clerical verse.
Cet article présente la satire anglo-latine “Vox in Rama,” de la fin du XIVe siècle, dans une édition annotée et traduction en vers de A.G. Rigg (1937-2019), avec des remarques liminaires situant ce poème dans le corpus de poèmes anglo-latins contemporains en métrique accentuelle-syllabique ayant le refrain «O and I» et d’autres poèmes anticléricaux contemporains.
