A lo largo del primer milenio a. C. en el actual territorio guipuzcoano se desarrolló un nuevo patrón de asentamiento con la estabilización de las poblaciones preexistentes en recintos fortificados en altura, de fácil defensa y con sus diferentes adaptaciones al terreno. Tres distinguidos yacimientos de estas características son Intxur, Munoaundi y Basagain. En lo que se refiere a la cultura material, estarán presentes elementos naturales del periodo como objetos de metales, fundamentalmente de hierro, cerámica a torno y a mano y vestigios de agricultura y recolección silvestre como diferentes semillas y frutos.

Throughout the first millennium BC in the present-day Guipuzcoan territory a new pattern of settlement was developed with the stabilization of pre-existing populations in fortified enclosures in height, easy to defend and with their different adaptations to the terrain. Three distinguished sites of these characteristics are Intxur, Munoaundi and Basagain. As far as material culture is concerned, natural elements of the period will be present such as metal objects, mainly iron, ceramic around and by hand and vestiges of agriculture and wild harvesting such as different seeds and fruits.
