Resumen de El Facebook, estrategia didáctica para apoyar el aprendizaje de asignaturas en inglés

El presente estudio de investigación se estableció a partir del año 2011 hasta el 2013 para demostrar que el Facebook, actualmente la red social más popular y exitosa de Internet, puede utilizarse como herramienta didáctica para resolver la problemática de evaluación del aprendizaje de materias en Ingles. Se utilizó el método hipotético-deductivo y el Excel para los datos estadísticos. La población total fue de 200 alumnos estudiantes del sexto y séptimo semestre de la Carrera de Gestión Empresarial de Ciencias Administrativas de la Universidad de Guayaquil con una muestra de 65 participantes. Los resultados evidenciaron que además de conseguir el objetivo inicial, se lograron muchos más como el de favorecer el pensamiento crítico, la argumentación, el aprendizaje colaborativo, motivarlos hacia la lectura, la investigación, así como a desarrollar el aprendizaje significativo, permitiendo el crecimiento personal, aprovechando las múltiples aplicaciones que ofrece la página, la cual fue controlada y administrada exclusivamente por el profesor, quien desempeño el rol de tutor presencial y virtual, siendo responsable de organizar las actividades en el aula y las del Facebook, logrando que el proceso docente-educativo resulte interesante, divertido , agradable, ameno y novedoso

This research study was established from 2011 to 2013 to show that the Facebook, currently the most popular and successful social network, could be used as a teaching tool, to solve the problem of evaluating subjects in English. Hypothetical deductive method and Excel for statistical data were used. A sample of 65 students was selected, from a total of 200 students from the sixth and seventh Semester of the Business Management Career, of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences of the University of Guayaquil. Results showed that the initial goal was fulfilled but also many more were achieved, like: developing critical thinking , argumentation , collaborative and meaningful learning , motivating them towards reading , research , enabling personal growth, taking advantage of the many applications that the page offers, which were controlled and managed exclusively by the professor who performed the role of the classroom and virtual tutor , responsible for organizing all the activities , making the teaching-learning process interesting , funny, enjoyable , entertaining , different and new. A teacher of any subject or area will find this strategy, very helpful and informational for his classes.
