    Este artículo puntualiza sobre el catolicismo social mexicano a partir de la mediación identidad, con la intención de reflexionar sobre su posición en el proceso histórico de las cuatro primeras décadas del siglo XX. De entrada se esquematizan algunos asuntos referidos al concepto identidad, para de ahí esbozar algunas ideas sobre el movimiento católico y su compromiso social. Las características de sus organizaciones contribuyen a pensar sobre las áreas y actores sociales que eran de interés tanto para la Iglesia católica como para el Estado. Esta es una posibilidad de conexión con sus formas de autorreconocimiento y heteropercepción. Se han seleccionado unas pocas organizaciones incluidas en el movimiento, las que sintetizan las necesidades y discordias centrales de la época. De modo que esbozan el mosaico social configurante de una identidad matriz.

    This assignment points out the social mexican catholicism, beginning from the identity mediation, with the intention of reflect on its position in the historical process throughout the first forty years of the twenty century. Firstly, shows some questions about the concept of identity. After that, explain the catholic movement and their social compromise. The characteristics of their organizations contribute to think about the social areas y actors of interesting from the Catholic Church and the State. This is a possibility of connection with its ways of self and hetero acknowledgment. It has been chosen only a few of the organizations incorporated in the social catholicism, because they summarized the needs and discords relevant from that times. The social patchwork is thus an entry point in the configuration of matrix identity.
