  La osteoartritis es la forma más habitual de artritis. Cursa con dolor, inflamación y disminución de los movimientos en las articulaciones. Puede ocurrir en cualquier articulación, pero más comúnmente afecta a manos, rodillas, caderas o columna.

  Cuando esta enfermedad degenera hasta el extremo solo se puede solucionar con cirugía. En este documento se ve el proceso de atención de enfermería en una prótesis total de rodilla, remarcando las necesidades básicas según Virginia Henderson que tiene o no alteradas, los diagnósticos enfermeros que se le hacen a su llegada y tras la intervención quirúrgica, los NOC que tiene a su llegada en la escala de Likert y cuáles se quieren conseguir y los NIC que vamos a realizar para conseguir acercarnos al máximo a los objetivos que tenemos fijados.

  Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, it causes pain, inflammation and decreased movement in the joints. It can occur in any joint, but most commonly affects the hands, knees, hips, or spine.

  When this disease degenerates to the extreme it can only be solved with surgery. This document shows the process of nursing care in a total knee prosthesis, highlighting the basic needs according to Virginia Henderson that have or have not been altered, the nursing diagnoses that are made upon arrival and after the surgical intervention, the NOC that they have upon arrival on the Likert scale and which are they want to achieve and the NICs that we are going to carry out in order to get as close as possible to the objectives that we have set.
