The aim of this paper is to introduce the need to create an archive on the basis of the research on art and graphic edition in Galicia since 1969. Accordingly, we will outline projects undertaken in the last few decades that build a theoretical and conceptual basis for a study of materials between a work of art and a document, essential materials for the understanding of contemporary Galician creation. The purpose of the investigation is to promote a (counter)cultural archive through digitalization, but it could be to incorporate the analyzed productions to a present one. Initiatives both on the state and regional territory shows a flaw that is trying to be mended thanks to researchers involved in this matter, that are looking forward to preserving and remembering a fragile, and often forgotten, heritage.
