    Se plantea analizar la dinámica poblacional de la provincia de Cartagena a través del reconocimiento e integración de la localidad de Sabanalarga como parroquia al Imperio español. El objetivo central no solo es estudiar la formación social sabanalarguera y ahondar en el panorama regional, sino también en las diversas estrategias que España impulsó para someter a las gentes libres. En otras palabras, desde la población abordada se procurará no únicamente tener una mirada de la sociedad que la ocupó, sino además de los territorios de la provincia y partido de Tierradentro.

    It is proposed to analyze the population dynamics of the province of Cartagena through the recognition and integration of the town of Sabanalarga as a parish to the Spanish Empire. The central objective is not only to study the sabanalarguera social formation and delve into the regional landscape, but also into the various strategies that Spain promoted to subdue free people. In other words, the population addressed will seek not only to have a look at the society that occupied it, but also to the territories of the province and party of Tierradentro.
