    Este artículo analiza la representación del asesino serial en la literatura mexicana y sus conexiones con la cultura global. Por medio de un análisis textual, crítico, y analítico de tres novelas de autores mexicanos, el objetivo de este artículo responde a la necesidad de situar a esta subjetividad en el centro de nuestra atención cultural para descifrar su identidad, sus motivaciones y su conducta, en un contexto globalizador y de consumo capitalista. Esta investigación concluye que la figura del asesino serial, en nuestras democracias modernas, ocupa un espacio paradójico, pues sus crímenes revelan ciertas desigualdades estructurales en nuestros sistemas de justicia. Además, esta investigación concluye que la formación de la identidad del asesino serial proviene de múltiples fuentes, que van desde la cultura global hasta sus propias historias personales. Este artículo es uno de los primeros en analizar la representación del asesino serial en la literatura mexicana, por lo que puede contribuir a futuras investigaciones en torno a este fenómeno.

    This article analyzes the representation of the serial killer in Mexican literature and its connections with global culture. Through a textual, critical, and analytical analysis of three novels by Mexican authors, the objective of this article responds to the need to place this subjectivity at the center of our cultural attention to decipher its identity, its motivations and its behavior. in a globalizing and capitalist consumer context. This research concludes that the figure of the serial murderer, in our modern democracies, occupies a paradoxical space, since his crimes reveal certain structural inequalities in our justice systems.

    Furthermore, this research concludes that the identity formation of the serial killer comes from multiple sources, ranging from global culture to their own personal histories. This article is one of the first to analyze the representation of the serial killer in Mexican literature, so it may contribute to future research on this phenomenon.
