Resumen de Individuación en la adultez emergente: Una forma diferente de convertirse en adulto.

  Este estudio describe el proceso de individuación en un grupo de adultos emergentes que viven con sus familias de origen, utilizando una perspectiva sistémica y el modelo de recentering. Se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo con un diseño descriptivo. Se entrevistaron ocho universitarios, entre 22 y 24 años. Los resultados muestran que los patrones de conducta están relacionados principalmente a las interacciones del sistema familiar, subsistema parental. Las interacciones con los padres se construyen tanto horizontal como verticalmente. Los objetos de lealtad son: la relación con la familia y los propios padres. La capacidad de elección autónoma es incipiente. Se concluye que, en el proceso de individuación de estos adultos emergentes, se combinan tensiones que frenan este proceso, favoreciendo el funcionamiento propio de la Adultez Emergente. Finalmente, este estudio contribuye a la caracterización y secuenciación de la individuación, de un grupo distintivo, en el proceso de convertirse en adultos.

  The study describes the process of individuation in a group of emerging adults living with their family of origin from a systemic perspective and the recentering model. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was used.

  Eight university students, between the ages of 22 and 24, were interviewed. The results showed that behavior patterns are essentially related to the interactions of the family system, parental subsystem. Interactions with parents are constructed both horizontally and vertically. The objects of loyalty are the relationship with the family, and with the parents themselves. The capacity for autonomous choice is incipient. It is concluded that, in the process of individuation of these emerging adults, different tensions are combined, favoring the mode of functioning of Emerging Adulthood. Finally, this study contributes to the characterization and sequencing of individuation, in a distinctive group’s process of becoming an adult.
