    El artículo analiza la función que el motivo de la violencia ejerce en la estructura del relato de Heinrich von Kleist, Michael Kohlhaas; cómo éste se sustenta sobre una articulación tripartita interrelacionada, compuesta de la violenciapropiamente dicha,la transiciónque ésta suscita en el protagonista (entendiendo el concepto de transciónen su dimensión teatral, como “cambio repentino de tono y acción”) y el reconocimiento(anagnórisis) que se obtiene.     The paper analyses the function that the motive of violence performs in the structure of Heinrich von Kleist’s narrative, Michael Kohlhaas; how this is sustained with an interrelated tripartite joint, composed of violencein itself, the transitionit makesin the hero (understanding transitionin its theatrical dimension, as “sudden change of tone and action”) and the recognition(anagnorisis) one can obtain. The result is the confirmation that daimontransfixes the narrative and brings it up to an unresolved situation.
