  El artículo se propone contribuir al estudio de las dimensiones internacionales de la ciencia y la tecnología en América Latina a partir de la revisión de la literatura reciente, identificando las fuerzas impulsoras de la internacionalización de la ciencia y la tecnología, los elementos indicativos de la internacionalización en el contexto actual y las tensiones y debates planteados en torno de la inserción internacional de la ciencia y la tecnología en América latina. También se subrayan los puntos menos atendidos por la literatura reciente.

  This paper presents a literature review of the recent academic works dedicated to the study of the international dimensions of science and technology in Latin America. The contributions of the recent literature are organized in three topics: driving forces behind the internationalization of science and technology; indicative elements of internationalization in the current context; and tensions and debates about the international integration of science and technology in Latin America. The final reflections present the topics that have been less analyzed by the recent literature.
