  • Frei Otto's career is characterized by seemingly contradictory interests and by leaning towards both art and engineering. His new unity of form, structure and function is discovered in a holistic form-finding process whose momentum does not permit of arbitrary interventions. His buildings are not "made", they are sought and found.
