Organización de la Sociedad Civil, Centro de Acogimiento y Fortalecimiento Familiar y Covid-19: una combinación desafiante en el Uruguay actual

    Se expone la experiencia de un Centro de Acogimiento y Fortalecimiento Familiar de adolescentes del área metropolitana de Montevideo, gestionado por una organización de la sociedad civil y el Instituto del Niño y Adolescente del Uruguay. Su modalidad de atención se constituye como parte del sistema de protección 24 horas que el Instituto del Niño y Adolescente del Uruguay tiene para el cuidado de niños, niñas y adolescentes. Se evidencia cómo la gestión de un CAFF conlleva a desafíos por parte de múltiples actores, sin embargo, con el advenimiento del Covid-19 dichos desafíos aumentan y surgen otros, que implican para la OSC un accionar creativo en la búsqueda de soluciones sobre situaciones y demandas de adolescentes y del equipo de trabajo. El rol de la OSC en estos asuntos implica un compromiso ético en la defensa de los derechos humanos.

    The experience of a Family Foster Care and Strengthening Center for adolescents in the metropolitan area of Montevideo, managed by a civil society organization and the Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay, is exposed. Its care modality is constituted as part of the 24-hour protection system that the Institute has for the care of children and adolescents. It is evident how the management of a CAFF leads to challenges from multiple stakeholders, however, with the advent of COVID-19, these challenges increase, and others arise, which imply for the CSO a creative action in the search for solutions on situations and demands of adolescents and the work team. The role of the CSO in these matters implies an ethical commitment in the defense of human rights.
