    El presente artículo se propone indagar sobre los imaginarios y representaciones de la ribera del Paraná de Rosario, Argentina, en torno a las producciones cartográficas del urbanismo y el planeamiento desde los orígenes de la ciudad, a mediados del siglo XIX, hasta la actualidad. El análisis crítico de los diversos mapas y planos de Rosario posibilita repensar el territorio, abriendo nuevas maneras de observar y reformular lo existente. A través de una metodología de tipo crítica-interpretativa, enmarcada en el marco epistemológico amplio de los estudios culturales, se plantea identificar las diversas ideas, propuestas y proyectos en torno a la costa rosarina en distintos momentos históricos, desde el siglo XIX al siglo XXI, reconociendo las permanencias y rupturas de sus imaginarios con relación a las transformaciones que son efectivamente materializadas. En este sentido, el estudio abordado posibilita incorporar nuevas líneas de debate y conocimiento, resultando un aporte a las interpretaciones de las transformaciones del frente costero rosarino, articulando pasado, presente y futuro.

    This article aims to investigate the imaginaries and representations of the Paraná riverfront of Rosario, Argentina, around the cartographic productions of urbanism and planning from the origins of the city, in the middle of the nineteenth century, until the present day. The critical analysis of the various maps and plans of Rosario makes it possible to rethink the territory, opening multiple imaginaries and new ways of observing and reformulating the existing. Through a methodology of a critical-interpretative type, framed within the epistemological framework of cultural studies, it is proposed to identify the various ideas, proposals and projects around the coast of Rosario at different historical periods, s. XIX to XXI, recognizing permanencies and ruptures of their imaginaries in relation to the transformations that are materialized. In this sense, the study addressed makes it possible to incorporate new lines of debate and knowledge, resulting in a contribution to the interpretations of transformations of the Rosario’s waterfront, articulating past, present and future.heterogeneous role that indigenous secrecy practices play in the processes of heritagization
