  Se presenta el caso de un varón de 27 años que acude a urgencias por fiebre con escalofríos y tiritonas.

  Trabaja en Costa de Marfil y desde hace una semana presenta síndrome febril, escalofríos y sudoración profusa. Desde ayer vómitos ocasionales y deposiciones diarreicas. Regresó a España hace 48 horas.

  Durante su estancia en África no realizó quimioprofilaxis de paludismo, pero en su trabajo le realizaron una gota gruesa y fue negativa. No presenta sangrado, ni petequias ni hematoma. Tras la realización de pruebas complementarias se detecta en sangre Ag plasmodium positivo a plasmodium falciparum, Paludismo o malaria.
