    Este estudio se ocupa del retablo mayor y el colateral dedicado de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados del convento de Santa Clara en Pontevedra (Galicia, España), los cuales fueron fruto del patronazgo artístico de algunos miembros destacados de los Mariño de Lobeira. En este sentido, se han reunido numerosos materiales dispersos, junto a otros importantes documentos hasta ahora desconocidos sobre el altar mayor de la iglesia conventual datado entre 1732-1734, obra de los entalladores pontevedreses Antonio y Gaspar da Canle –o Dacanle–.

    This study deals with the main altarpiece and one secondary altar, dedicated to the Our Lady Of The Forsaken, of the Santa Clara convent in Pontevedra (Galicia, Spain), which were the fruit of the artistic patronage of some members of the Galician noble family of Mariño de Lobeira. In this light, it unites numerous dispersed materials, with the previously unknown documents, concerning of the high altarpiece in the convent church dated between the years entre 1732-1734, work by the woodcarving artists Antonio and Gaspar da Canle –or Dacanle–.
