    El Canchal de los Ojos, también conocido como Peña Buraca, es un santuario prehistórico. Los restos arqueológicos se extienden más allá de una hectárea en torno a la peña que da nombre al espacio y que, siendo el elemento más reco-nocible, no es sino un componente más del conjunto. Abundantes restos cerámicos de amplia cronología comparten el espacio con lagares excavados en la roca, al menos tres, numerosas tumbas, también talladas en la piedra, altares y otras estructuras de interpretación discutible.

    El Canchal de los Ojos es una peña sacra, que se convirtió durante la Alta Edad Media en un eremitorio, un espacio ocupado por anacoretas y místicos seducidos por la idea de lo Absoluto hasta tal extremo de ser capaces de renunciar a sí mismos. Hoy pueden verse los agujeros abiertos en la roca para encastrar las vigas de la cubierta y una gran roza para embutir el tejado a dos aguas.

    The Canchal de los Ojos, also known as Peña Buraca, is a prehistoric sanctuary. The archaeological remains extend beyond a hectare around the rock that gives name to space and which, being the most recognizable element, is but one more component of the whole. Abundant ceramic remains of extensive chronology share the space with mills excavated in the rock, at least three, numerous tombs, also carved in stone, altars and other structures of questionable interpretation.

    The Canchal of the Eyes is a sacral rock that became during the High Middle Ages in a hermitage, a space occupied by anchorites and mystics seduced by the idea of the Absolute to such an extent of being able to renounce themselves. Today you can see the open holes in the rock to embed the beams of the deck and a large rub to embed the gabled roof.
