    La relación que el educador/a social, individual y colectivamente, ha venido estableciendo con el saber y la formación a lo largo de su historia, han sido claves para definir sus prácticas y figura. La credencial académica que otorga el grado en Educación Social acredita unos conocimientos y competencias que permiten el acceso a nuevas jurisdicciones laborales, como es el caso del peritaje. Contextos que requieren de herramientas donde la competencia cualificada y la función en relación a aquello que se nos presupone “pericia” o trabajo educativo, evidencia más que nunca su necesidad para identificarnos y diferenciarnos en la pretendida legitimación social, profesional, institucional y ciudadana de la Educación Social.

    The relationship that the educator and the social educator, individually and collectively, have been establishing with knowledge and training throughout their history, have been key to defining their practices and figure. The academic credential that gives the degree in Social Education accredits knowledge and skills that allow access to new labor jurisdictions, as is the case with the expert. Contexts that require tools where qualified competence and function in relation to what is presupposed “expertise”, that is, educational work, demonstrates more than ever their need to identify ourselves and differentiate ourselves in the intended social, professional, institutional and institutional legitimation citizen of Social Education.
