En este artículo se pone el foco en el acercamiento a la demanda masculina de prostitución femenina en el contexto español y se analiza cómo la periodicidad de consumo de prostitución influye en la percepción e identificación subjetiva de los hombres respecto a la misma. Se podría diferenciar entre la tipología de demandantes eventuales que no se identifican con el consumo de prostitución, y por tanto, en su autorrepresentación se produce una desidentificación respecto a esta práctica. Y, por otro lado, los demandantes habituales que perciben la prostitución como una parte de su identidad y como un elemento relativamente cotidiano.
This article focuses on the approach to the male demand for female prostitution in the Spanish context and it analyzes how the periodicity of prostitution consumption influences the perception and subjective identification of men with respect to prostitution. A difference has been established between the typology of eventual clients who do not identify with the consumption of prostitution, and therefore, in their self-representation there is a disidentification with respect to this practice. And, on the other hand, regular customers who perceive prostitution as a part of their identity and as a relatively everyday element.
