Les Balears són un arxipèlag de la Mediterrània amb les tensions socioespacials pròpies d'un espai hiperturistificat. Un dels principals trets de les illes és l'elevada densitat de places turístiques. Per a l'estudi s'ha realitzat un anàlisi espacial de la tipologia d’allotjament turístic i del volum de places, a escala de municipi. La hipòtesis és que l'intens monocultiu turístic a les Illes Balears ha permès l’expansió turística més enllà de la franja litoral, tot definint diferents tipus d’especialització turística als diferents municipis. Els resultats obtinguts mostren la especialització en l’oferta d’allotjament turístic al conjunt dels 67 municipis de les Illes Balears

The Balearic Islands are an arxipelag of the Mediterranean with the socio-spatial tensions own of a hyperturistic space. One of the main trets of the islands is the high density of tourist places. For the study he has carried out a spatial analysis of the typology of tourist accommodation and of the volume of places, on a municipal scale. The hypothesis is that the intense tourist monoculture in the Balearic Islands has allowed the tourist expansion more in the coastal strip, to define different types of tourist specialization to the different municipalities. The results obtained show the specialization in the offer of tourism allotment to the set of the 67 municipalities of the Balearic Islands.
