    El presente trabajo indaga en prácticas que asociamos al liderazgo pedagógico (LP) y liderazgo para la justicia social (LJS) en Uruguay a partir de un estudio exploratorio de las Unidades Coordinadoras Departamentales de Integración Educativa (UCDIE). Tomando algunas competencias que hacen a los liderazgos mencionados y la información recabada en una serie de entrevistas, se ensaya un esbozo del saber hacer de dichas unidades. Uno de los interrogantes que guían la investigación es el siguiente: ¿Responden los perfiles de coordinación de las UCDIE a las características del liderazgo pedagógico y de la justicia social? Las UCDIE son las encargadas de potenciar, a nivel departamental y local, una política que apunta a la coordinación metodológica y a la continuidad educativa entre los subsistemas de la Administración Nacional de Educación Pública (ANEP), así como de desplegar estrategias y generar acuerdos territoriales en pro de favorecer el derecho a la educación

    This work looks into the pedagogical leadership (PL) and the leadership for social jus-tice (LSJ) practices in Uruguay, based on an exploratory study of the Departmental Coordination Units of Educational Integration (UCDIE). Considering some competen-ces that constitute these mentioned leaderships and the information gathered from a series of interviews, an outline of the knowhow from said units is rehearsed. One of the questions guiding the research is the following: do the UCDIE’s coordination profiles respond to the characteristics of the pedagogical leadership and social justice?The UCDIE are responsible for promoting, at departmental and local level, policies that aim to the methodological coordination and educational continuity among the Public Education National Administration subsystems [ANEP is the acronym in Spanish]; also, for developing strategies and generating territorial agreements that favour the right to education
