    La Torre de la iglesia de Santa María la Mayor de Trujillo (Extremadura) es una de las escasas muestras del románico en Extremadura. Es el exponente crítico que tuvo que sufrir Trujillo por la acción destructora de la invasión de las tropas napoleónicas y la desamortización. La torre fue reconstruida a su primitivo estado tras haber sido parcialmente destruida en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, una de las mejores reconstrucciones llevadas a cabo en el patrimonio artístico extremeño.

    The Tower of the church of Santa Maria the Major one of Trujillo (Estremadura) is one of the scanty samples of the Romanesque one in Estremadura. He is the critical exponent that there had to suffer Trujillo for the action(share) destroyer of the invasion of the Napoleonic troops and the disentailment. The tower was reconstructed to his(her,your) primitive(original) condition(state) after having being partially destroyed in the second half of the 19th century, one of the best reconstructions carried out in the Extremaduran art heritage.
