Resumen de Transdisciplinariedad en los Estudios Generales para la Praxis de la Democracia

Este ensayo pretende enfocar, cómo los modelos educativos influenciados por la fragmentación del conocimiento, han ido convirtiendo la educación en un diseño que nos aleja de poder comprender los problemas complejos de la actualidad. Además, se puede observar que, están más orientados a responder a las necesidades del mercado, de tal forma, que se han descuidado aspectos fundamentales en la formación del ser humano, y aquellos que propician la promoción y sostenimiento de la democracia. Este documento ofrece una mirada a algunas deficiencias percibidas y cómo un diseño transdisciplinar de Estudios Generales, puede transformar la educación y ser un puente para la praxis de la democracia. La educación es el medio más cercano para fortalecer la práctica democrática, en ella se gesta el desarrollo de personas con capacidad de debatir, para el mejoramiento del mismo sistema. Sobre todo, para fortalecerla y hacer de ella un núcleo más fuerte con el pasar del tiempo, acondicionándose a las necesidades futuras para su mantenimiento. Para ello es necesario entender las deficiencias y orientar los esfuerzos para recuperar el rol de la educación en beneficio del bien común y por ende de la democracia. Mediante el desglose del tema “Transdisciplinariedad en los Estudios Generales para la Praxis de la Democracia” se enfocan los siguientes subtemas: ¿Qué es la educación?, Convergencia entre democracia y educación, La educación como mercancía y El papel de los Estudios generales en el fortalecimiento de la democracia, para tratar de responder la pregunta: ¿Cómo pueden los Estudios Generales sustentados en un enfoque transdisciplinario, favorecer la praxis de la democracia?

This essay aims to focus on how educational models, influenced by the fragmentation of knowledge, have been turning education into a design that takes us away from being able to understand today's complex problems. In addition, it can be observed that they are more oriented to respond to the needs of the market, in such a way that fundamental aspects have been neglected in the formation of the human being, and those that favor the promotion and maintenance of democracy. This document offers a look at some perceived shortcomings and how a Transdisciplinary Liberal Arts design can transform education and be a bridge to the praxis of democracy. Education is the closest way to strengthen democratic practice, in it, the development of people with the ability to debate, for the improvement of the same system, is gestated. Above all to strengthen it and make it a stronger core over time, conditioning itself to future needs for its maintenance. For this, it is necessary to understand the deficiencies and guide efforts to recover the role of education for the benefit of the common good and therefore democracy. By breaking down the topic "Transdisciplinarity in Liberal Arts for the Praxis of Democracy" the following subtopics are focused: What is education ?, Convergence between democracy and education, Education as a commodity and The role of Liberal Arts in the strengthening democracy, to try to answer the question: How can General Studies, based on a transdisciplinary approach, favor the praxis of democracy?
