    El presente estudio permitió conocer la historia del deporte tradicional ecuatoriano ecuavóley, su impacto socio-cultural, el origen del término y provincias en las que se inició su práctica.  Los objetivos planteados fueron: establecer una teoría fundamentada sobre los inicios del ecuavóley; analizar el impacto social y cultural del ecuavóley en Ecuador; determinar la época en la que se inició su práctica y conocer la década en la que comenzó a usarse el término ecuavóley. Se realizará a través del paradigma cualitativo, fundamentado a partir de cuatro fases científicas: preparatoria, de campo, análisis histórico documental e informativa.

    The present study allowed to know the history of the traditional Ecuadorian sport ecuavolley, its socio-cultural impact, the origin of the term, and the provinces where its practice began. The stated objectives were: to establish a grounded theory about the beginnings of ecuavolley; to analyze the social and cultural impact of ecuavolley in Ecuador; to determine the time when their practice began and to know the decade in which the term ecuavolley began to be used. It will be conducted through the qualitative paradigm, based on four scientific phases: preparatory, field, historical, documentary, and informative analysis.
