Resumen de La transformación de Ensidesa: espacios fabriles en los márgenes de la ría de Avilés

A través de este texto se analizarán los cambios producidos en el paisaje de la ría de Avilés tras la implantación de la Empresa nacional Siderúrgica S. A. (ENSIDESA). Para ello se partirá del estudio de la configuración previa de la zona y se analizará cómo las diversas obras, tanto aquellas de infraestructura como las instalaciones propiamente fabriles y de servicios, han modificado la percepción de ría y la panorámica de Avilés. Poniendo especial interés en cómo esta nueva configuración del paisaje es indisoluble de la villa actual y de su patrimonio cultural, ya que Avilés no podría entenderse en la actualidad sin este pasado cada vez menos cercano.

Through this text, the changes produced in the landscape of the Avilés estuary after the establishment of the Empresa nacional Siderúrgica S. A. (ENSIDESA) will be analyzed. To do this, we will start from the study of the previous configuration of the area and will analyze how the various works, both those of infrastructure and the actual manufacturing and service facilities, have modified the perception of the estuary and the panoramic view of Avilés. Putting special interest in how this new configuration of the landscape is inseparable from the current villa and its cultural heritage, since Avilés could not be understood today without this increasingly less close past.
