La fortaleza de Monte Real situada en Baiona (Galicia, España) fue todo un ejemplo mundial en la primera mitad del siglo XX de la importancia que tuvo el papel del capital privado en la salvaguarda del Patrimonio Cultural, así como la potenciación turística de los monumentos histórico-artísticos. Todo ello, se consagró bajo el nombre del gran olvidado filántropo asturiano llamado Ángel Bedriñana Meana, que supo encontrar el equilibrio combinado perfecto entre la conservación histórica, el disfrute de la vida moderna y la necesidad de adaptar turísticamente un conjunto histórico para poder ser visitado con mayor facilidad y comodidad

Monte Real fortress in Baiona (Galicia, Spain) was a global example of the importance of the role of private capital in the safeguard of Cultural Heritage, as well as the tourist enhancement of monuments historical-artistic in the first half of the 20th century. All of this was consecrated under the name of the great forgotten asturian philanthropist called Ángel Bedriñana Meana, who knew how to find the perfect combined balance between historical preservation, the enjoyment of modern life and the requirement to adapt a historical place to be visited more easily and confortably by tourists
