    Este trabajo repasa el contexto social, político y educativo en el que tuvo lugar la trayectoria académica y docente de las primeras catedráticas españolas de derecho romano. El recorrido, además de andamiaje necesario para reconstruir la historia de las pioneras en alcanzar la máxima categoría académica, es el punto de partida para plantear, como pregunta de investigación, si en el acceso a la cátedra ellas encontraron más o menos dificultades, y de qué tipo, que sus colegas romanistas. La hipótesis que se aventura es que el género fue una variable que condicionó su proyección laboral. Confirmar o refutar esta cuestión exige comparar las trayectorias profesionales de los romanistas coetáneos a las primeras catedráticas de la disciplina utilizando como principal fuente oral el relato que ellas hacen de su vida universitaria y laboral. Para completar esta investigación, ahora en fase de desarrollo, se utiliza una metodología que, junto al plan seguido, se detallan en las siguientes páginas.

    This work reviews the social, political and educational context in which the academic and teaching career of the first Spanish professors of Roman law took place. The route, in addition to the necessary scaffolding to reconstruct the history of the pioneers in reaching the highest academic category, is the starting point to ask, as a research question, whether in accessing the chair they encountered difficulties, and what kind, than his fellow romanists. The hypothesis that is ventured is that gender was a variable that conditioned their work projection. Confirming or refuting this question requires comparing the professional trajectories of contemporary Romanists to the first female professors of the discipline, using as the main oral source the account they make of their university and work life. To complete this work, now in the development phase, a methodology is used which, together with the plan followed, is detailed in the following pages.
