    Este artículo analiza los elementos narrativos, simbólicos y coreográficos que conforman el monumental Ballet de la Nuit, presentado durante 1653 para la corte de Luis XIV, en aquel momento bajo la gestión de Mazarin. El poder absolutista es centralizado en el cuerpo de Luis XIV, donde la corte barroca halla un terreno sumamente fértil para su desarrollo y sus conductas. ¿Cuáles son los artificios simbólicos que se activan en torno a Luis XIV y que apuntan a la utilización del ballet como vía de representación ideológica?, ¿cómo se da forma y existencia a un poder unificado y centralizado en el cuerpo de un representante?

    This article analyzes the narrative, symbolic and choreographic elements that make up the monumental Ballet de la Nuit, presented during 1653 for the court of Louis XIV, at that time under the management of Mazarin. The absolutist power is centralized in the body of Louis XIV, where the baroque court finds an extremely fertile ground for its development and conduct. What are the symbolic devices that are activated around Louis XIV and that point to the use of ballet as a means of ideological representation? How is a unified and centralized power given form and existence in the body of a representative?
