Resumen de El Palin mapuche como práctica corporal enseñable en la educación física chilena:: Reflexiones para un pensamiento crítico en educación

This article puts in tension two educational sociocultural realities that frame Chilean education. On the one hand, the recognition that everything Chilean is impregnated with an uprooting of the Mapuche on the basis of a whitewashed and racist construction of the conformation of Chilean society and, on the other hand, what distinguishes the history of physical education in this country, the tribute to the hegemony of Eurocentric knowledge. Both aspects come to reveal the contradictions and limitations of the circulation of an ancestral knowledge such as the physical practice of the palin in physical education classes.

Este artículo pone en tensión dos realidades socioculturales educativas que enmarcan la educación chilena. Por un lado, el reconocimiento de que todo lo chileno está impregnado de un desarraigo del mapuche a partir de una construcción blanqueada y racista de la conformación de la sociedad chilena y, por otro, lo que distingue la historia de la educación física en este país, el homenaje a la hegemonía del saber eurocéntrico. Ambos aspectos vienen a revelar las contradicciones y limitaciones de la circulación de un conocimiento ancestral como es la práctica física del palin en las clases de educación física.
