    Relato biográfico de Hildoara, enfermera de una unidad de corta estancia de psiquiatría. El objetivo ha sido conocer como es la expe-riencia de la informante en esta unidad teniendo en cuenta sus estudios universitarios, su experiencia laboral como terapeuta ocupacio-nal y sus prácticas de estudiante de enfermería. Además, se han querido resaltar sus expectativas y sus herramientas de trabajo, así como la importancia del papel de la enfermería y la terapia ocupacional en estas unidades. Se ha realizado una entrevista en profundidad semiestructurada con preguntas abiertas centradas en los temas principales. La informante relata su historia explicando su formación universitaria y como haber estudiado y haber trabajado de terapeuta ocupacional le ha dotado de recursos y herramientas para trabajar como enfermera en la unidad de psiquiatría a pesar de no tener la especialidad de enfermería de salud mental. También, se explica el rol de la enfermería en estas unidades y la necesidad de la figura del terapeuta ocupacional.

    A biographic report of Hildoara, who works in the short-stay psychiatric unit. The aim of this article is to know the experience of the in-formant in this unit, considering her university studies, her work experience as an occupational therapist and her nursing practices. In addition, they wanted to highlight her expectations and her work tools, as well as the nursing role importance and occupational therapy carried out in these units. A semi-structured in-depth interview with open questions focused on the main topics has been carried out. The informant tells her story explaining her university studies and how to have studied and to have worked as an occupational therapist has provided her with the essential resources and tools to work as a nurse in the psychiatry unit despite not having the specialty of mental health nursing. The role of nursing in these units and the need for the figure of the occupational therapist are also explained.
