Resumen
- A portion of an investigation about popular traditionsof the area of Xochimilco is presented here. Xochimilcois a suburban community located in the south of theFederal District and each day it is more integrated tothe Metropolitan area of Mexico City. The referredinvestigation, deals with some demonstrations of po-pular religiosity shown in various ways during reli-gious festivities, which are of great importanceregarding mystical experiences associated to theimaginary world, which have a great influence in theirdaily life. Also, some methodological references areincluded in order to define in a better way, the pro-cedures used in the field as well as in the systema-tization and analysis of the information
